The adventure begins!!! We made it to Kingman Arizona.......before the transmission blew up! Yep, we were making great time, had made over 600 miles, had just eaten dinner in Kingman and were starting on our third driver when we looked back to see LOTS of white smoke! But God is good and we were only about 3 miles away from a Ford dealer, they were still open, we were able to limp there without a tow, we got a nice suite two blocks away from the dealer at a good price and now we are settling in to our room and getting ready to head to the pool. We could be stuck on the side of the road in the middle of the Mojave in 112 degree heat without a paddle! God is good.

Pray with us that the Ford dealer can get a transmission put in and get us back on the road in good time....maybe a couple of days??? If we then drive pretty much straight thru to Lubbock we can get back on track.

Back on the home front Jenn is having a great day too! A nurse at the doctor's office asked her how far along she is. Stupid nurse, of all people, Jenn has nearly washboard abs! And she had to take her favorite cat in to the vet with an unexpected bad diagnosis. So she is home taking care him and hoping that things work out ok. Lots of money spent of course.

So to sum up, today wasn't the best day but PRAISE THE LORD it wasn't as bad as it could have been :0)

So.... off to the pool with an antsy son (the young one)....obviously he's the one that didn't drive today.

Stay tuned! The adventure has just begun!!!

  1. Um, "NEARLY" washboard abs???!!!?? Apparently you haven't seen them lately. I could grate cheese on these abs.

  3. Maybe her washboards have just gotten TOO huge. The nurse was probably super jealous and decided to ruin Jenn's day.
P.S. I heard Andrew wasn't the only antsy one. And I'll just leave it at that.
